On wikipedia, the Antikyterhera mechanism is described as having the front dial showing the annual progress of the Sun and Moon through the zodiac against the Egyptian calendar.

It's nice to know that "technology" has been around for a VERY long time... and we should never take that for granted. I'm amazed when people look at cultures like the Egyptians, Mayans, etc. and believe that they didn't have stuff like this. OF COURSE they did!!!! FACE IT !
